What the Congress government did (or not did) to our mighty Army, sadly


What the Congress government did or not did that has put our mighty Army in a powerless or rather perilous condition.

Congress govt's inefficient rule over the last 10 years and more has left our Army with serious shortages. It appears, if one may say so, that our beloved former Defence Minister did not ever do anything beyond attending the official functions( even while doing so he was reported to have fainted)!
Our Army is not only grappling with shortages in howitzers, helicopters, air defence weapons, night-fighting capabilities, new-generation infantry weapons and the like, but also does not have enough ammunition reserves to sustain a full-fledged war for even 20 days when it should be adequate for 40 days. (Extract from an article in The Times Of India on Gen.Bikram Singh meeting with PM Modi).

These shortages are just in the Army. Think of the Navy...serious absence in our submarine fleet that can even be termed deadly not to speak of the similar conditions in our mighty Airforce.

Any guesses what the con' government was up to during their tenure? Pathetically,those who voted the Con'to power have been proved grossly wrong.
